Legend has it that many thousands of years ago there existed a continent called Mu, located near what is now New Zealand. Its inhabitants were highly evolved spiritually, but they fell victim to pride. When pride took hold of a large part of the population, the continent sank, causing the waters of the sea to become very turbulent and stormy. Seeing this, two spiritual beings named Paz and Aloha took pity and descended to the planet Earth. They settled in the islands of Hawai'i and from there radiated tremendous peace, calming the waters. The Pacific Ocean bears that name in honor of these great beings. Hawaiians use the name of the beautiful Aloha to say hello, goodbye, love, and many other things.
